Dear Member,
After the long closure, we are now approaching the end of week one of being reopened. We hope that you have enjoyed coming back as much as we have enjoyed seeing you all. All the staff have really appreciated all the welcoming and positive feedback you have provided, thank you.
We appreciate that there are many things that have changed for us all and that getting used to these will take a little time. Following a review meeting with the staff, here are a few little reminders of what some of these changes are:
- Please do not arrive too far in advance of your bookable pool or gym slot. We do require you to wait outside until several minutes before your sessions starts, or even in your car in the event of inclement weather. This enables us to keep the reception area free and avoids any gatherings happening.
- Please do not bring bags to the gym. There are no lockers available and we need to keep the area free from any trip hazards that bags of any size may cause.
- Please follow the one-way system around the Club. Lots of blue arrows pointing you in the right direction. Easy to slip back into normal habits for us all.
Next week sees the introduction of our group exercise classes. These are bookable in advance and via the Club App, Club website or by contacting Reception. Spaces are limited due to restrictions for social distancing. We know from the bookings to date that classes are popular, so additional classes are being added to the programme so please look out for updates.
If you are attending any of the classes that require a mat, then please remember to bring your own. The Club can provide mats if required however we need to introduce a £2 hire cost per mat due to cleaning costs incurred once used.
When attending classes please report to Reception so that we can update our class registers. Your instructor will also do a headcount. Please do not turn up on the off chance of a space. We are fully committed to the allocated numbers per venue.
Unfortunately, we have had to take the Zoom classes offline for the foreseeable future due to some instructor unavailability.
Fives café – This facility has been open all week. Next week we will introduce limited outdoor seating which will obviously be weather dependant. The furniture will be arranged to comply with current guidelines.
Lastly, we are tracking the various sporting bodies and their guidelines so as and when these get updated, we will introduce any changes that have been introduced.
Thank you for supporting the Club and we are looking forward to week 2.
Yours sincerely,
Ian Davis
